I filed for my LLC today! I (read: my business) will be official here in the next few weeks and I’m so excited to add Survivorship Coaching to my list of things I have experienced in my life. Throughout this transition from blogger to business owner/coach, you’ll see some parts of my website change as I morph it into my business platform. It will stay true to its purpose, though, and I’ll continue to write and post, capturing what I’m learning along the way and what the last few years have been teaching me, too.
I’m so excited and this totally fits into my writing prompt for today: My Whole Person. This survivorship coaching, this standing with other survivors on “the other side” of trauma to be our best selves is going to be extraordinary. My physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual self will get to live out, ON PURPOSE, each 5 minutes of this new identity.
The Purposed Sailor, LLC is *almost* official! Stay tuned!

A New Friend :: 2/22/19 :: Post 528
Earlier this evening I was telling a new friend my story.
I lay here now kinda dumbfounded by the words that make up my story.
Maybe tomorrow, when I have quiet time and I’m not about to go to sleep, I’ll just write out all the single words that tell my story. And then maybe I’ll post it.
I was also telling this new friend how I’ve had to learn how to hold the tensions… gratitude and anger, grief and hope, loss and life, suffering and joy, power and surrender…..
I hate my story and I love my story… I hate the hurt but I love the depth. I hate the trauma but I love the empathy. I hate the scars (seen and unseen) but I love the strength each one represents. I hate the despair but I love the hope.
